Temperature Restrictions Continental Airlines can ship ALL year around. There are no temperature restrictions at most of their airports. They have a different shipping system than Delta. Delta ONLY ships if outdoor temperature upon arrival is between 40 degrees and 85 degrees. I try to use Delta as much as possible because it is cheaper. I use Continental only if there is severe weather. Both are safe. Parrots/birds are not shipped with luggage but in their own climate controlled section on the plane. They will not come out on the baggage carousel, a rep carries the carrier out and it is delivered to the LIVE CARGO DESK for pickup.
